Text book information for Nationals

Dear Parent,

There has been a request from the parent Council for Departments to suggest text books or resources to support our young people as they work toward their National Examinations. Departments have done their best to make suggestions where materials have been published and suggest relevant free online resources. These texts are not compulsory nor are parents expected to buy them in order for their child to succeed. This list is published in response to parental request. When books have been purchased in the past Departments and the Parent council have organised book sales to sell texts on to the following year group. Some subjects do not have published texts as yet but Leckie and Leckie seem to be the publisher aiming to meet customer demand.

New Build Update - 12 November 2013

New Build Update                                      12 November  2013
Dear all,
As you will have noticed if visiting the school in recent weeks, Morrison Construction are moving very quickly with the preparation of the site for our new build. Since last Thursday, a substantial number of the original buildings scheduled for demolition have been razed to the ground. Accommodation still to be demolished is the remainder of the assembly hall, the bridge link corridor and part of Lauder building.
I will keep you updated as the works progress on the website so look out for more updates coming your way throughout the time of this project.

(Depute Head Teacher and school coordinator for the new build)

National 4 and 5 Internal Assessment Dates

Parental information

NATIONAL 4 AND 5 INTERNAL ASSESSMENT DATES

Assessment Dates for internal assessments of National 3, 4 and 5 can be found in the Parents section of the website.

The  information is designed to give parents an over view of approximate assessment dates of internal units for subjects during S3 and S4.

It is not always possible to give exact dates as assessments are done in class time when the class is deemed to be ready. Students will always be given clear notice and should prepare carefully for these internal tests as they must be passed at appropriate level to achieve that award. There will be one opportunity to re-sit any unit which has not been passed.
